HALF FARE TRANSPORTATION-THE BUS STOPS HERE

New Jersey Transit bus #197 stops at the Schuyler-Colfax campus driveway, which leads to the Wayne Adult Community Center.  The bus may be a convenient way for you to get here, since it provides frequent service from Warwick, Greenwood Lake, West Milford, Ringwood, Wanaque, Pompton Lakes, Wayne, Totowa, Willowbrook Mall,  and New York City.  The many transfer points along the route, including those at Willowbrook Mall, provide accessible service from additional towns.

Furthermore, you may qualify for a reduced fare:  People 62 years of age or older, and people with disabilities, save one-half or more off the regular one-way fare, and personal assistants for people with disabilities ride free.

Persons over age 65 travel half fare anytime.  Those over 62 but under 65 travel half fare on Saturdays, Sundays and state holidays; on weekdays they travel half fare  from 9:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 7:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M..  The reduced fare program applies to all New Jersey Transit bus and rail service, plus some other bus companies.

To show that you qualify for the fare, you simply exhibit your Medicare card or a Reduced Fare ID Card to the bus operator or train conductor when paying.  You can obtain an application for a Reduced Fare ID Card at many local banks and at county Offices for the Aging.  If you're a person with a disability, call (973) 378-6401 for details.
